San Antonio's PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology Dr. Fehrat Ozturk will talk to us about "The Medicinal Uses of Local Honeys".
Dr. Ozturk has conducted research about bioactivity and medicinal potential of local honeys and his presentation will teach us about all the ways honey can be used for medicinal purposes based on the various properties they have acquired depending on their specific geographical origins

Beekeeping expert and licensed entomologist Lauren Ward will talk to us about "POST-MORTEMS: What caused my colony to die". Ms. Ward has a masters in entomology who has managed hundreds of hives for a commercial beekeeper. She also has been the Lab Manager for the Texas A&M Bee Lab, and a Bee Biology online instructor.
